We launched Param2, our 17-billion-parameter text model for all 22 scheduled languages, and showed our AI models at the BharatGen pavilion, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi stopped by.
India Today also unveiled Sutra, an AI news anchor built with BharatGen.

Our first summit, on 2 and 3 June, brought ministers, researchers, industry and students together. Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, opened it, and we released Patram, Shrutam and Sooktam.
It also hosted the final of the BharatGen Generative AI Hackathon: 279 student teams from 21 states.

Within our first 100 days, we showed our first applications at India Mobile Congress 2024: e-VikrAI, which turns a photo of a product into an online listing, and Krishi Sathi, a WhatsApp assistant that farmers talk to in voice notes.
Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, saw both demonstrated at the event.
